Bed bug fumigation costs: The bed bug alert makes a great deal of sense. The only issue I have is that the numbers are way too low. In my experience in the field and dealing with PCOs , the costs could easily go all they way up to $70,000.00 ( seventy thousand dollars ) over a few years especially if it is not done right the first time. You can get a good deal for a large contract but it still costs a lot. Usually, the cost is between 200 and 300 dollars an apartment / condo unit. If the building is made of say 100 units then you can see the math gets expensive FAST. It is best to spray everyone if you can because if you only spray a few apartments, the bugs will scatter and soon more than half the building is infested. All units adjacent to an infested unit must be sprayed in order to prevent and contain this scatter effect. Further, it is critical to spray everything at least 2 more times for a minimum of 3 complete sprayings. If not the bugs keep coming back, If a tenant / condo owner uses cans of spray, that will further scatter the bugs and exacerbate the problem.

The math is simple then: $ 200 times 100 units times 3 complete sprayings for $ 60,000 ( sixty thousand )...see you got a deal...it wasn't $ 70,000 after all.

If this has to be done every few years because bugs keep being brought in by Brydges Property Management employees and workers...well....you can see how the costs can explode....but HEY condo owners are rich right?

Bed bug alert for brydges property management: BED BUG ALERT! Brydges Property Managment manages the bed bug infested 224 Colony Street. They use the same workers and staff who go from building to building. Bed bugs are tenacious little critters and have been at 224 Colony for over ten years. If they are transferred to another complex, the cost can be in th 5 figures. The common expenses will be going way up. Reserve funds could be depleted and a special assessement would be needed. Be careful and make sure that Brydges Property Management is held liable for any transfer of bed bugs by their staff, employess and sub-contractors. BE EXPLICIT OR YOU WILL PAY BIG TIME...easily 10,000 at a time every couple of years.

Poor management company: I would rank this company as poor to medicocre. They especially have had problems at 224 Colony Winnipeg Manitoba. Since they do not know much about residential property and especially senior residences, they should let someone better qualified handle the contract.

bedbugregistry.com/location/MB/R3C/Wi...
