Editorial Reviews
Chef Harry’s version of a European café makes brunch an Old World affair. Candlelit interior and antique fixtures create an afternoon refuge for English Bay strollers and discount movie aficionados. $5 glasses of wine on Wednesdays get you through the hump. Tease your palate with the olive pate and the Gorgonzola lamb burger. Pay extra and get the side Hollandaise with $3.99 breakfast special....

Though the food hits and misses, the lack of pretension and the fun, queer-friendly atmosphere keep Central full, especially in the summer months when the shady patio affords shelter from a garish interior design. We recommend the lamborghini, a lamb burger with gorgonzola and caramelized onions ($17). Skip the wine list—cocktails (best had at the chatty bar) are worthy of a thousand lips.
