The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse is Toronto's oldest standing free school building. It was built on the grounds of Little Trinity Church, by wealthy English brewer Enoch Turner, for the Protestant Irish who couldn't afford to send their children to St. James's school.Today, the Schoolhouse welcomes students from Toronto and beyond, to experience class as it was taught in 1858.
