Awesome flowershop!: I have been a faithful customer for this shop for years. Not only is the service incredible, the flowers are always fresh! For the comment I read below, it is clear that this customer has absolutely no concept of what it is like working in a floral shop or they would never have wrote such a review. It is not the flower shops fault where the the "order gatherers" and/or sites such as teleflora , send or receive orders. If people would call the shops directly, instead of using the computer to do it, they would speak directly with one of these superb girls! FYI, flower shops do not like the internet orders as the people taking the orders and distributing them, are NOT florists.
So needless to say, Kudos to this shop. Great work as always.
Thank you...

May want to think again...: I wanted to order flowers for Mother's Day and happily (I thought) quickly found a link for Exeter Flowers on the internet. They had wonderful photos of various bouquets you could order with prices laid out. I was hooked and decided to order. Problem one, whoever runs the order site online is from the USA. I was a little concerned and disconcerted when I was asked for my State/Province (and had to first run through all the states to get to provinces) and my Zip/Postal Code. If I was ordering from an American site, no problem, but one in Canada? Next after I place my order THEN I see a message stating that if the bouquet I picked was sold out they would replace it for another of equal value. Why not make that obviously clear BEFORE I place my order? The up side was I could ask for a date for the arrangement to be delivered (no hours of delivery posted by the way). I placed my order before the store opened Friday morning and asked for the bouquet to be delivered Friday; I received no error messages or warnings that this was not 'do-able', I also mentioned in the message section (nice addition) that my Mom would be away on Saturday. At 3:20'ish on Friday I phoned my Mom to see if she had received her order or at least a phone call setting a delivery time. She had not and she also mentioned she was leaving the house at 4:00 pm. At this point I tried numerous times to contact Exeter Flowers by phone to check the status of my order and received a busy signal every time. I finally emailed them to tell them that I could not get through by phone and that it was now after 3:30 pm and my Mom was leaving by 4:00 pm and had not heard from them. At 3:55 pm a woman phoned my Mom to inform her of a potential delivery that was not completed but should be coming 'sometime'. She also snarkily stated that delivery times could run as late as 9:00 pm so that expecting delivery by 4:00 pm was unrealistic. She also mentioned how swamped the store was and that they were running behind. My question is why take out your frustration on the person receiving the order...they are the least to blame. If they were going to be snarky it should have been directed at me, not my Mom. Next (or during) they emailed me back informing me they were swamped and had talked to my Mom. I was informed that my Mom was okay with a 4 pm delivery on Saturday and that they would proceed with the order and delivery at that time if that still suited me. They also told me that they had taken their phone off the hook because they were too swamped. I replied saying if my Mom was okay with it, so was I. So Saturday comes along, my Mom ensured that she was home early from her appointment to receive her flower delivery. It did not come. I called her at 9:30 pm and she said that they waited and checked by had not received a call from Exeter Flowers. At this point I apologized to her and told her I would stop payment for the flowers on my credit card. At 11:00 pm my Mom phoned me to tell me that she had finally received her flowers from Exeter Flowers at 10:56 pm...she was already in bed when they arrived to ring her doorbell on a Saturday night! Again they told her they were swamped. The most charitable thing I can say is that it appears as though they are relatively new to internet orders, and perhaps they just did not anticipate the number of orders they were going to receive for Mothers Day? It is remotely possible. I will never use them again, and obviously will not recommend them to anyone. They were slow and were quite rude to my Mother, the one person they really had absolutely no call to be rude to, even if they were frustrated with me and the sheer number of orders they had to fill. My suggestion to them and their internet ordering site is 1) change the host site to a Canadian site...or at least make it look like one, 2) put limits on orders if you can not handle the volume, 3) post what you expect should be a reasonable delivery time PRIOR to order placement so the customer is aware of your protocols, and 4) state in an obvious location PRIOR to ordering that if you run out of 'x' arrangement you can switch it for one you still have.
