good, but not great: the atmosphere is quite nice, it has been rated one of the top "date" spots for a number of years, yet their menu might disappoint depending on the day and what you expect.

Great Food: This restaurant has great food and it tastes home made. It is a cozy restaurant and has a great patio.

Twentysomethings and Little Italy locals jam this "inviting" cafe for "delicious" nannettes (naan bread with pizza-esque toppings), scrolls (crêpe-style stuffed rotis) and other Eclectic eats backed by a sizable drink menu including a "wide beer" selection; "very reasonable prices" and a "cosy atmosphere" make it a popular date place.

This has been a gem for years, serving sandwiches stuffed with portobello mushrooms, havarti, and roasted red peppers, and five "scrolls" -- phyllo pastries filled with delights like artichoke hearts, eggplant, and hummus. In my neverending quest to find the best places in Toronto for brunch, I decided to try out Kalendar, a restaurant in Little Italy. With its classic clock hanging above the awning and tree with the Christmas lights shading the patio, this Little Italy mainstay draws in its curious onlookers.
