Great for vegetarians!: I’m a vegetarian and it’s not easy to go out to restaurants in Montreal and find good vegetarian cuisine. That’s why I’m really happy to have found restaurant Le Taj. They serve an abundant diversity of vegetarian meals that look great, smell great and taste even better! I highly recommend that you try out the channa masala, which are chick-peas seasoned with loads of onions, garlic and coriander. I love this dish because the chick-peas are fresh and crumble in your mouth, rather than being served mashed up like other places do. There’s also the tangy baigan bhartha (roasted eggplant) that I can never get enough of! There’s also loads more for you to try!

The kitchen specializes in the Mughlai cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, and seasonings tend more toward the tangy than the incendiary. Dishes are perfumed with turmeric, saffron, ginger, cumin, mango powder, and garam masala (a spice...

Deeply entrenched in downtown Montreal for more than 2 decades. Carefully staffed by people trained to treat every guest as a celebrity and invitingly decorated with complex figures embedded in simple, modern lines. prepare delights such as lamb chops, kebabs, garlic shrimps, chicken tikka and, of course, naan bread.
