Delivery Date: end of June 2014<br/><br/>My boyfriend and I went to Phillip Van Leeuwen in August 2013 to see the showroom. They have furniture both on the lower quality & cheaper end of the spectrum as well as the higher quality and pricier end. Great customer service in store. We found some couches that we loved and they answered all our questions (boyfriend is particular and had MANY questions). The customer service agent helping us was also a decorator, and had great general decorating tips for us. Overall experience in the showroom was very positive.<br/><br/>Dealing with the warehouse for delivery, however, was a terrible experience. We ordered our couches at the end of August 2013 and they were supposed to arrive with a shipment at the end of October 2013. When we didn’t hear from the warehouse, my boyfriend and I both called numerous times before we could talk to anyone about our order. Apparently, only the one shipping manager can see orders statuses. The first time we called, she was not working. The second time, she was in a meeting. The third time, she was off sick. The fourth time, she was in the middle of a call. I left my name and number with the receptionist every time and received the promise that she would call me back; but when we finally got through to the shipping manager, it was because we called again a fifth time and got through and not because she returned the calls. First, we were told that there was a shipping delay because of a railway strike that was in effect until the end of October 2013 (this was true, we were able to research it). Then, we called in January 2014 and were told that there was a delay because of “company restructuring.” It was apparently not possible to even locate our order, and we were told that we would be contacted as soon as the shipping manager had more information. We did not hear anything for quite some time. When we called in May 2014 we were told that our order had been shipped and would arrive at the warehouse in June 2014. Thank God, it did indeed arrive in June. A full 10 months from the order date, and 8 months later than quoted. We got the company to throw in free delivery (which only costs a measly $100) to make up for our troubles. We were told to call the morning of delivery day to find out an approximate delivery time, but we couldn’t even get that when we tried. The delivery men finally arrived in the late evening and said there was a delay because of unsatisfied customers (complaints of delivery delays, damaged products, and incorrect orders such as wrong color couches). Thank god, nothing was wrong with our couches and they seem to be of good quality.<br/><br/>The incompetency of the warehouse is astounding. The experience we had has completely dissuaded us from purchasing from them again. We had read online reviews of the store and were aware that others found it difficult dealing with warehouse, but we didn’t realize it would be this bad. Now looking at more reviews, many customers complain of delivery delays of 8+ months, sometimes with broken merchandise, and an abundance of excuses being made by the warehouse. They also say that dealing with the owner in the showroom is a very unpleasant experience and were of the impression that he did not care about clients but only about the money. Be aware, potential customers, the deposits are non-refundable and all orders are final sale. And it will probably be a year before you get your stuff.

Don't waste your money!: Bought few furniture at Phillip Van Leeuwen. Very disappointed with the quality of their sofa. The foam sink when you sit on it. After 4 years, the leather start peeling. Rude customer service and liars. They try to blame everything on you so they don't have to take any responsibility that quality of their sofa is lousy.

Do not wast your time and money! Be carefull: Stay away from this schemer! As soon as they sell you an item, they never care about your complaints. They sold me a defective sofa and did not take it back claiming it happened in my place. GREAT LIARS., Super rude employees
