Great concerts, cool venue: The Phoenix is a really awesome place to catch a concert, or just to have a few drinks on the weekend. I really love the look and feel of this place: it is very dark but they have some cool artwork on the walls, great lighting, and some vibrantly-coloured highlights throughout. The place actually consists of two separate rooms, one of which is more of a lounge with pool tables, and the other is more of a club area that has a dance floor, and a large balcony up top that’s equipped with its own bar, couches, and chairs. The bartenders were mostly nice (there are several bars throughout the club) but sometimes you had to wait a while for a drink because the bartender didn’t pay attention to who was there first. Also, the people working security were not very nice at all, and were actually kind of rude. But aside from the bouncers being mean, overall the Phoenix is a fantastic place to spend a night out.

Sketch Area, Good Concert Venue: This place is pretty decent for concerts. They have good bands play and it is always a great time. I just hate the area it is in....it's a little sketchy so be careful when you are walking home afterwards!

Good Music: I've been going to the Phoenix for years, Great time on Halloween they throw an amazing party I think that's what got me hooked plus it was a rock club which is rare in the city now a days.

The place itself is massive with a Giant massive main room (where sometimes lots of famous bands will play) They also have a smaller lounge type room with pool tables and they have another lounge type room upstairs over the main room which big cozy couches.

The place is fun never the less. as I said before lots of good bands have played there over the years.

The Phoenix is an old-school rock venue -- shows are standing-room-only -- and it has a loyal local following. It has showcased such legends as the New York Dolls, Patti Smith, and Gang of Four, while newer stars such as Neko Case and the Raveonettes have also gigged here. On the weekends, it gets the crowds dancing with a mix of retro, Latin, alternative, and funk.

The Phoenix Concert Theatre is like a big warehouse with good sight-lines to watch live music, including a second floor mezzanine in the back.
