Terrible Service: Printcrafters is apparently one of the most professional fully Canadian owned and operated printing companies in North America, capable of producing mass quantities of high quality paper based media in record time to the best standards. Unfortunately this was not my experience dealing with this company. I contacted Printcrafters to have them produce custom prints. At first I was truly impressed by their staff and facilities. I did take a quick tour of their plant and I was assured all of my business needs will be met. Their graphics shop is state of the art, as well as their bindery and printing equipment. To this day I still have yet to find another company who has a set up better than Printcrafters. Their staff were great to deal with and were very helpful. At the time I was very confident that this was a great choice to deal with Printcrafters. Everything seemed great until the point where I needed my product and then everything went downhill from there. My contract was to have books, pamphlets, bound books and magazines shipped to my business in Vancouver. They had 8 weeks to have everything at my doorstep. I did not receive the shipments until 9 weeks later, causing a huge loss in my business. The lack of quality control was evident. The bound books broke at the bindings and the magazines had colour variations that showed inconsistencies in the printing. Also, instead of shipping everything all that once, as I asked, everything was shipped separately. I contacted Printcrafters and was furious with the dealings. I was assured everything would be corrected, and that they would ship the proper products to me. I only had to have the incorrect and poorly produced books and magazines shipped back. Unfortunately for me they did not tell me that I had to pay for the cost of the return shipping. To me that is ridiculous considering this was the mistake of Printcrafters, not me. Their next and final shipment was much better, to my liking, but that did not come until nine days after the original shipment. For everything that I needed it took Printcrafters almost 10 weeks to produce products that I needed in 8 weeks, several days of downtime due to poor quality control and incorrect shipping and an extra bill for returned shipping. This is some of the worst business practise I have ever experienced. The sad thing knowing that this is a Canadian company with numerous awards of recognizing excellence and achievements and yet I received nothing but absolute failure. I would have gladly outsourced my work to another company even if it was based in another country. My business truly suffered from my decision to deal with Printcrafters and I would never do business with them again.
