Excellent atmosphere, decent food: Love this place for the location, the atmosphere. Food is decent. Would go here for dinner before a movie on Richmond. Show up a bit early e.g. 5 or 5:30ish or have reservations or you may have to wait a while.

disappointing: i went to the queen mother last week with two girlfriends on a wednesday evening around 6. i have been going there since the early ninties and always loved it, but haven't been there in at least 5 yrs. i was initially disappointed that the seafood hot pot was gone. then i was disappointed with my luke warm meal and one of my companions cold frites. the arctic char special was good though. perhaps next time i'll stick with their thai inspired dishes.
