Manager is a screaming poof: The manager, Paul Manget is so pathetic as a manager and such a flaming fruit cake and scared of women, I am shocked that they are still in business as they had no customers and the one they did have they asked to leave I would never even suggest my WORST ENEMY EAT THERE. What a joke. AVOID AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Wonderful Experience: My wife and I went to Sonoma Grill and Lounge for the first time last night, great atmosphere.

From the moment I walked through the door the service was outstanding! Very warm welcome and the servers were really friendly.

My wife and I were not sure what to pick off the menu as it all looked so good and server made some great recommendations for us and you could tell everyone that worked there was passionate about the place and really knew what they were talking about.

Perfect food and great sevice which really make a difference. Overall probably the best experience. I will definitely recommend Sonoma Grill and Lounge to everyone.

I know and I can’t wait to go back!!!

Never again!: While Sonoma Grill under the previous ownership of Michael Olesen was terrific. The new owner appears to have zero interest in food quality or his kitchen.

My office is on the same street as Sonoma Grill and we often went there for lunches on Friday. However, when Michael advised us he had sold the restaurant we stopped going.

Last week I decided to give it a try. I had family in town from Arizona and though it would be nice to treat them to somethign other than The Keg which is where I ususally take them.

Upon arriving, our waitress was fantastic. We were greeted right away, had our drink order taken and delivered quickly as well as our food order taken.

This is the point where it goes badly. A table arrives after us, orders, gets their meal, eats their meal, gets their bill and pays and we still do not have any food.

We ask the waitress who says they are working and it and we are patient and say we understand, although really we don't since there is only 5 tables in the entire restaurant.

After one hour our food arrives.

My husband has Wor of Wonton soup that tastes only of salt and is cold.

I have Schnitzel with shrimp and crab bernainse. Bernaise sauce on the side is cold and has a skin on it. Shrimp and crab are dry. While the schnitzel is warm, the potatoes underneath are cold.

My Mom has the cajun shrimp and scallop pasta. Lukewarm, shrmp and scallop are so burnt they are brown on the inside. Cajun cream sauce is straight heavy cream with no seasoning whatsoever, most certainly not any cajun flavor.

My Uncle has a filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes. Steak to be done medium. Steak is the only think that is hot on his plate and it is cooked well done. Potatoes are cold.

At this point it's a lost cause. My husband walks out to go to the pub acrosst the street to get some food ordered. The rest of us discuss and decide to leave. We get up and advise the waitress that we will pay for our drinks but not the food. This leads to the head waitress asking us why we are leaving which we explain.

All the while the owner is sitting in the bar area talking on his cell phone. Clearly not caring what his wait staff is experiencing. Clearly not caring that his kitchen can't handle orders for more than 5 tables. Most of all, clearly not caring that his customers have had a terrible experience.

I will never go back to Sonoma Grill again. I work with 20 people in my office who I have told about this terribel experience. As I mentioned I work on this street and I shop at many of the stores on this street. I have also told them about the experience, however, it appears I am not the only one. Many people have said since the new owner took over the quality of the food is terrible and he can't keep staff.

Save yourself the hassle and disspointment and go elsewhere. What a shame, it's really too bad Michael sold it. It was so wonderful before.
