Funky!: This place is an institution, and because it's now an institution, it's just not as innovative and cool as it used to be. But it is comfortable, like going to your European grandma's. I especially like it for breakfast and lunch.

Great Food and Service: I stopped by Sophie's Cafe on a whim, just passing through on the way to UBC. This was a real treat! The ambience at Sophie's was so inviting, the staff were attentive and genuinely friendly and the food was fabulous. The decor really is out of this world. Looks like a trip back in time. The food came fresh and fast and they have some very interesting items on the menu. This cozy little diner is a must when passing through West 4th.
