Chef needs retraining! Manager lacks customer service skills: 4 things wrong with this somewhat high-end "japanese" restaurant:

1. Made nigiri ("sushi" on menu) with hot rice where it is supposed to be cold.
2. Chef not apologetic for getting it wrong but was angry, heard them say "are they japanese or something?". he was staring at us when we received the new set of nigiri.
3. Not responsive to correction. The manager argued "that's the reason for [having] rice warmer", "we are not in Japan, our sushi is meant to adapt", and "we have had this restaurant for 3 years and no one complained". We tried a lower class japanese restaurant near the gate of old quebec and their sushi was made right, fresh and delicious!
4. Manager/chef reused the same fish to make the new batch (Manager told us when asked and we saw them washing the fish).

If this restaurant was a fast-food type joint, then I would have not bothered with this review. However, for this caliber of restaurant to not act professionally is pretty insulting. Hot rice was tolerable but the lack of understanding that the customer is trying to give a valuable input is backward.

If you want to sit down to spend lots of cash on what they think is japanese food and get excuses on why they think their food is made right, then enzo is the right place for you. If you want to taste real sushi, enzo is NOT the place!

SushiSpecialist
Enzo Sushi Restaurant Review: Enzo Sushi is located in an atmospheric space that is cleverly divided into four sections, including a wide bar area and a mezzanine with intimate booths. The largely unchanging menu includes classics and dozens of traditional dishes as well as more complex offerings such as lemongrass lamb or shrimp quenelles. An easy option is the tasting menu that generally starts with a hot appetizer like...
