Unfairly kicked out from the property!: We brought our vehicle to Terrace Ford Lincoln to have a warranty concern addressed as Oak-land Ford Lincoln was not able to diagnose the problem on 4 visits. Terrance Ford was very helpful and their mechanic found the problem on his first ...review of the vehicle. We were quite impressed by this but found out that Ford Motor Company would not repair this issue under warranty even though this was a pre-existing concern to the warranty expiring. We contacted Camvap which is a government arbitration branch that deals with car manufacturers and there responsibility to there warranties. They advised us to have the repairs done, if charged pay for it, BUT NOT to sign any release of the vehicle being in good condition. We therefore made arrangements with Terrace Ford Lincoln to complete the repairs. When we arrived I apologized to the dealer for the conditions the Ford Motor Company has placed us both in. They proceeded to bill me a portion of the repair (which should have been covered fully under warranty) which we paid. We then asked for our keys and Terrace Ford Lincoln then asked us to sign a release which we declined. We explained that this warranty issue is being submitted to arbitration and we were advised to not sign any release forms. The service advisor called her Service Manager John over who then requested the same. "Sign the release or you don't get your keys" To which we responded the same, and explained that they had no legal right to retain our property as a full payment was made. John in turn , like a child stomping out of a room, left with my key and secured them in the office. At this point we had no option but to go to the police to have our property return. The police had to visit the dealership to retrieve our keys and returned them to our possession. I was also informed that I was no longer welcome on Terrace Ford Lincoln property obviously since I did not give in to John intimidation to force a signature I was not required to provide as well as embarrassing him in front of his peers with the police having to retrieve my property. I truly have no interest in returning there anyways but it is a shame as the mechanics do seem to know what they are doing it just happens to be the management that is failing that dealership. In closing, I have owned several vehicles from new GM's and Chryslers and never experienced anything like what Ford has put us through. I caution people with purchasing Ford vehicles as the warranty is not worth the paper they are written upon.

Avoid Terrace Ford!: Avoid this dealership at all costs, especially for service on your vehicle. Took my Focus in for an oil change and tire rotation, and the "genious" working on my car stripped one lugnut right off in the process damaging my rim. Instead of owning up to the screw up by the service tech, Bill (the service advisor) and John (the service manager who wouldnt speak with me) passed the blame onto the Ford dealership who dealt with my tires previously, although Bill first told me the lugnuts (all 16) were rusted on. I guess the philosophy at this dealership is to lie to the customers face instead of fixing their errors.
I took my vehicle to a competent Ford dealership and watched them remove 15 of the 16 lugnuts without any issue. The one they couldnt get removed was the one Terrace Ford damaged.
Terrace Ford lies to your face and does not care about the customer, if something goes wrong they just pass the buck. The service manager is non existent and refuses to speak with customers when there is a concern brought up.
If you value the condition of your vehicle and its functionality avoid the Terrace Ford service department.
