Music to my ears!: There's always music at The Rex. Some of the most popular jazz musicians have played at The Rex and Toronto's jazz community still going strong. I caught a FABULOUS show on May 1st. I believe they were called the Trevor Falls Collective. What a great show! The vibraphone is an amazing instrument...really added a little something to the sound. The drummer was really good too! 5 stars for sure!!!

all that jazz: Being one of Toronto's few remaining jazz clubs the Rex has great music and an affordable menu. Great atmosphere to meet people for drinks or just have some dinner and watch the show. They also offer hotel rooms.

A casual watering hole lacking the pretensions of some jazz joints, it has been drawing jazz fans since it opened in 1951. The decor hasn't changed much since the old days, but the sounds here range from the traditional to the cutting edge. The Rex features the city's best players and sometimes...

It's no secret that The Rex Jazz & Blues Bar (Queen & St. Patrick St) is a musical institution in this city. With 2-3 (mostly free) shows every day, jazz jams on Tuesdays, local and international talent and a fantastic location, this place is truly hard to beat. I try to stop in as often as I can. I mean, the coffee is actually pretty good, drinks are served fast, and the music, as mentioned,...
