Great Food!: My wife and I came from Washington DC for a vacation in Seattle and Vancouver. We happened to drive into Horseshoe Bay and being hungry went into Ya Ya's for a bite to eat.

I had the best Haddock fish and chips that I have ever eaten. The fish was super fresh and melted in my mouth. I don't remember what my wife had, but she said it was great also.

That was four years ago, and I still haven't had any fish and chips even close to as good.

Excellent Food at Ya Ya's: Three of us went to Ya Ya's because we were fed up with Troll's which has disappointed us the last three times we visited there. Ya Ya's is next to Troll's and has great oyster burgers, if you like oysters.

I don't care for oysters so I got their wild salmon burger which was the special of the day. In fact all three of us got the salmon burger and it was excellent. So were the yam fries. The service was very good also. I wasn't going to have dessert until I found out that they had creme brulee, which is one of my weaknesses. My two companions had the gooey fudge brownie thing with ice cream. These desserts were also excellent. The presentation of the food was also first rate.

I noticed that all the reviews of Ya Ya's were a couple of years old and I just wanted to let everyone know what a great place this is to go, even if you are happy with Troll's.

For years, Ya Ya's Oyster Bar mixed up a winning recipe in Horseshoe Bay that included a handful of baked and raw oysters, a pinch of weather-beaten pub décor, and a generous helping of spectacular seaside views. A new name, polished new look, and some slight tweaks to the menu prove favourable, especially the shift to Ocean Wise ingredients. Oyster and cod po' boy sandwiches ($14) are an easy...
