Very traditional atmosphere, but great food: This is one of the first steakhouses I've been to and I found it to be a treat. The meat is so juicy and tender; it's perfectly cooked. The other elements of Barberian's Steakhouse, the atmosphere and service, are just as great.

Not getting enough protein? Get thee to Harry Barberian's upscale steakhouse, which has been going strong since 1959 (his son, Arron, has since taken over). Barberian's is one of Toronto's most famous steakhouses. This bastion of meat, once considered slightly off the beaten path on low key Elm Street was founded in 1959 and has served its share of the nation's Prime Minister's, celebs and Hollywood royalty.
