An O.K. Time: I have been here once and it was an alright time. The service is slow though, but the place is nice inside. the staff is friendly.... and slow. The food is good... and slow. And the seating is great when your on the patio. If you have a lot of time on your hands, give it a try!

The Bar that tries too hard: Chalkers is like Cheers. It's a friendly neighborhood bar / pub. Decent Food, Good Drinks.

However the Service can be a lil slow and not very friendly. I do like going there for the odd drink when I'm in the area. I did one time even get to meet Russel Peters whom so happen to be there DJin and spinning his favorite retro hits.

Patio is great but I don't like how they try to be a "club" on the weekends. With there line up (That shouldn't be due to it not being full inside) and cover charges?

Good patio - bad service: Chalkers is located on Marlee and boasts the best patio in all of North York (which it has). I like the decor its an old pub with a dance floors tons of pool tables and has the dark cozy feel that everyone loves in a pub. What I don't love is that it tries to promote itself as a club with bouncers and a red carpet line up on weekends. Not awesome for a pub in a small neighbourhood. Other than that is a good place to go for an afternoon drink or a few rounds of pool
