The first Fine Dining Experience to Hit Locke St. Well Done!: My partner and I tried out The Courtyard on opening night last week and we were very impressed. Locke St is a lovely street with an eclectic mix of restaurants on offer- this one is the first Fine Dining establishment for Locke St and a wonderful sign of how vital this street is for Hamilton. We enjoyed the music of an accomplished gentleman playing a gorgeous baby grand piano. The music complemented the decor: warm hues, gorgeous artwork, tapestry rugs, linen covered tables, complementing chairs of wood and leather, and 2 seperate eating areas. The food was delightful! We tried the lamb sausage to start and I tried the vegetable main (something I've never done but was glad I did) and finished with Chocolate Pate. Everything was top notch. The service was terrific, the timing was great- we didn't feel rushed at all. This is a great special occasion or "just because" place to go to with your loved one or friends. This restaurant is a great addition to an already great street.
