Pub sympathique et plaisant!: Je suis un habitué de la place car ma conjointe adore les pichets de daiquiri aux fraises à partager avec ses amies. La bière et l'ambiance est tout aussi bonne.

Love It! Great Location: We were visiting ottawa for the day (from Montreal) when we came upon this little Irish pub. Service was awesome, we had some snack food which was also good. We ended up having to book a hotel so we could come back and continue the party! Only 'problem' is that our bartender wasn't allowed to have a shot or drink with us (company policy)

Should be better: The menu is more varied than most pubs and the food quality is above average. I recommend the lamb shank with garlic mashed potatoes. The seasonal menu additions and specialty beers are a plus. There is an excellent selection of draft beer. The location is ideal for anyone working near or visiting Parliament. The seating can accommodate larger parties but it is best to call ahead. Avoid being seated at the bottom of the stairs during the winter unless you enjoy dining with your coat on. The patio is extremely popular in the summer.

On the downside this is an extremely popular spot. The long term staff members provide good service but the newer members (seems to be a lot of turnover) do not always keep up and during the busiest times. Friday's after work, you may have trouble moving because of the bar crowd. My last such visit my group decided to leave after finishing our meal and waiting 15 minutes to order drinks. We received the wrong bill twice over the next twenty minutes before having to go to the front desk and asking for the proper bill. That, combined with the poor managerial response to inadvertently cancelling our reservation for a group of 14 (offering three seats at the bar) make it difficult not to give a poor rating. However, if you go at the right time you may be rewarded with an enjoyable meal.
