Half the fun with subterranean clubs is knowing how to find them. But the Foundation Room has far more going for it than just that: The room is decked out in glorious Moroccan style, with plush lounges, hammered-brass chandeliers, and plenty of mirrors. The vibe is very sexy -- and the pomegranate martinis are delicious.

The Esplanade and its surroundings are more known for the St. Lawrence Market and patio bars. Swank, global lounges they are not. And it's a shame. Because if the Med set made it east of the King West scene, this club would thrive.
