Description
The Firken Pubs’ contribution to the Entertainment District, the Friar & Firken has that British pub ambiance common to the franchise. The Friar has recently been renovated, with a new menu and feel, so if you haven’t been there for a while, it’s time to rediscover it.

Typical Pub - Decent Place To Eat: I have only been here to eat, never for a long night of drinking. They have your typical pub food and it is pretty good. The prices are fairly typical and the service is good. The place is nice looking and clean, it is a little dark though. However, they check IDs at the door often, which is unexpected for a pub.

Editorial Reviews
"Pleasant pub grub" bolstered by local and international brews on tap draws crowds to this midpriced King West chain link with siblings throughout the city; it's a "good value" and the "atmosphere makes you feel right at home", so hopsheads deem it an overall "reliable" choice.

Into the Friar
Situated on the very busy corner of Queen and John, the Friar and Firkin is a favourite among regulars looking for an after-work pint, and for people who want a good meal before heading to the nearby movie theatre or club district. People familiar with the Firkin chain appreciate that they dont have to guess at what theyll find here.

Dropping Off the Radar
