A Locke Street Staple: Locke Street Bakery has been around since 1996. It's what I consider to be the cornerstone of Locke Street (although some may argue that it's the West Town Tavern). The bakery is open nice and early on weekdays (6:30) so you can get your Seattle's Best coffee and a hot out of the oven bagel with house-made cream cheese to kick start your day. They also have a variety of sandwiches for lunch that you can have on a fresh baked bagel, as a wrap or on a baguette. They have a nice seating area inside with a sit down bar facing Locke Street so you can watch the passersby. They also have benches out front so you can enjoy the bustling street life that is Locke Street firsthand.
