Description
Nestled in Ottawa's New Edinburgh neighborhood, MacKay United Church was established in 1875. The land for the construction of this church was gifted by William MacKinnon, grandchild of one of the founders of Ottawa, Thomas McKay; thus the church is named after him. The church building was established in 1910, and was renovated in 1925. It features beautiful Norman-Gothic architecture.
