Rude & unprofessional: My wife had an unpleasant experience recently while registering for an appointment with her family doctor. She did make a verbal complaint to the Doctor - who seemed to have had simialr complaints about this particular nuse/receptionist before. But I guess these jobs are protected and there is not much one can do (or the Doctors) but gently remrimand (if that).

This morning we were there as a walk-in for my son who was suffering from a bad throat and the resultant fever. Whilst this same lady was leading him to the Doctor she asked him if he had a fever and when he responded in the affirmative - she immediately barked her response - 'Do you have H1N1?"....:Has nobody told you that you should report such cases?"..."Has his school not brifed you about this'...all this was hurled at us in rapid fire mode before we had a chance to catch a breath. Rude and entirely unprofessional alarmist reaction in front of a teenage kid - and premature too since she had not heard all the facts. When she paused, my wife told her that we were aware of the symptoms and that all our son had was a bad throat and a resultant fever. She then calmed down and proceeded to take my son to the Doctor - who thankfully was more human and professional...disgnozed my son and prescribed a mouth wash and an anti-biotic for Strep Throat.

This lady is an insult to the medical profession - she obviiously is not very skilled in her profession and has no bedside manners.

I did notice her enjoying a cigarette outside the clinic before it opened this morning. This is entirely her choice and her business....but all in all - she can drive people away from this clinic that does house many good Doctors.

Rude office woman!!: Upon calling the office to follow up on various tests that my husband had done, there was one very rude secretary that refused to help when I simply asked if the results had come in (not what the results were). She repeatadly told me she cannot and will not tell me anything. I repeatedly told her I DID NOT WANT TO KNOW THE RESULTS, but that I was just wondering if they came back. As in the past I have experienced times that tests results have gotten lost when I should've been notified about my condition. I realize doctors' offices do become very busy and things do often get lost in the shuffle. I know this because I used to work for a doctor myself and was responsible for a number of things by myself, however I ALWAYS took the time to do my job efficiently and still keep the patients satisfied. That is the difference between GOOD customer service and NO customer service!! To add to this frustration I felt, she refused to tell me her name when I asked her several times, nor would she put me through to anyone else when I told her I didn't want to talk to her anymore. I called back and spoke to another woman who put me on hold while she checked the file for results, and the initial woman (no name woman) picked up and proceeded to talk to me again. She was the rudest person I have ever had to deal with in my life and I cannot believe it is people like this that don't appreciate how lucky they are to have a job. Because she didn't give out her name, I can tell you she was working on Monday April 6, 2009 and the call took place somewhere between 2-2:30pm. I rarely if ever complain about things, but this is one I just couldn't let slide. Thanks for listening.
