Carnivores don't "miss the meat" at this "casual" Eclectic-vegetarian "steps from the water" Downtown where "even things that don't sound good" are "delicious" ("try the almond burger"); sure, the fare "far exceeds the modest decor", but with "friendly" service, it has all the makings for a "reliable" meal.

Even if you're not hungry, it's worth dropping in here for a juice blend -- say grapefruit, banana, melon, and pear with bee pollen or blue-green algae for added oomph. If you're hungry, rejoice: rebar is the city's premier purveyor of vegetarian comfort food. Disturbingly wholesome as that may sound, rebar is not only tasty, but fun, and a great spot to take the kids for brunch or breakfast....
