A Less Than Happy Experience: I went there to get a simple haircut. It had been a while since I had gotten a cut and I needed it. When I arrived for my appointment they told me to have a seat and within 10 minutes the stylist came and got me for my appointment. Although he was quick to come all he said was "Teresa? Come with me." I didn't get his name or anything. I sat in his chair and told him I am fairly open to suggestions however, I liked the look of a bob with it a bit shorter in the back and longer in the front, but not a drastic change. He said "ok" and asked if I still wanted bangs. I said yes and he said "ok".
He washed my hair, (I had to wash my hair when I got home because it just didn't feel clean afterwards) and started cutting. I had told him I didn't want many layers, and he said "Ok" and chopped a hunk off the back of my hair. As he went along he kept saying "Don't to look now, I'm not finished." Well, I am glad I looked, because I had walked in with really nicely sweeping bangs and he was about to do a blunt cut. When he asked if I wanted bangs he should have clarified what he meant. I thought he was asking if I wanted to keep the same bangs. Now, I have bangs so short they stick straight out.
The whole time I was in his chair I felt like he didn't want to be there and didn't like his job. He never talked to me, never made suggestions to me; he only said "Ok" and told me not to look. I wished I didn't need my glasses to see most of his work, or I wouldn't have missed that when I asked for it shorter in the back, it ended up being the same length all the way around, and it wasn't even. I thought he was just doing a gradual align, however he made it the same all the way around. There are spots that I can notice are long in the front, but only spots. It looks like those spots were missed when he was cutting.
When he was almost done, he put mousse in his hand and started putting it in my hair, then asked if it was ok to put mousse in my hair. Well it had to be now.
Now, my hair doesn't do anything. I told him I loved it, just so I could leave. I didn't want to risk him cutting more to make me happy and I get even more upset. It seemed this guy was new to the business and had no idea what I was asking when I first got here.
I think maybe a different stylist would have been better, I just felt uncomfortable the entire time.
