Opened in 1977, this typical French Brasserie was decorated by Parisian architect Mr. Damascus. The first imported beer in Quebec was served here in 1982. Our terrace bistro is open until 3am (kitchen until 2am), 7 days a week. The Bell Centre is just an 8 minutes walk away.

Badddddddddddddddddddddddddddd: The worst restaurant to visit in montreal!! Bad service ( the waitress would ask for more tip)!! bad food ( they don't know what medium rare steak would look like)!! the portion of the food is toooooo small in comparison with the price!! I don't recommend anyone to visit

Awful!: Probably one of the worst place you can go to eat. Far too expensive to a point where you realize that they really think you are dumb... A chocolate mousse for 13 dollars that tasted like those things you can buy at the super market. I took a fondant (lava cake) which was very expensive (16 dollars) and I thought it was going to be very good for the price... absolutely not! I make better ones myself.
The service was terrible, we decided not to tip because we explained how disappointed we were and they became so angry, like they absolutely deserve a tip. You have to earn a tip!
Just do NOT go, you will empty your wallet for terrible food and service! Really disappointing and trust me,being from France, I have been to French restaurants !

Worst food in town: I went to join some friends who were in from out of town. They were drawn to this place because of its classy looks. The waiter was very polite and the restaurant was clean, but the food was such a horrible joke that it took away from all that was good.
I ordered that Old Fashioned Super Hamburger, which since it cost $18 I thought would be spectacular. I got a small, overcooked patty on a plain white bun that you get at the grocery store. There were some wilted vegetable on it, served open faced with a handfull of flavourless fries in the middle. Seriously, I am not exaggerating one bit when I say that it looked like they took some McDonald's and placed it on a fancy plate.
Never again.

hum: La place est jolie mais pour 24$ tu as juste un petit saumon aux herbes et un petit tas de salade mesclun. Je suis allée me chercher un sandwich chez Subway dix minutes après.

Editorial Reviews
Chez Alexandre & Fils Restaurant Review: Alexandre & Fils is a faithful rendition of a French brasserie, complete with brass fittings, leather banquettes, red velvet and, in the summertime, rattan chairs on the terrace. Even the waiters, dressed in black pants, white shirts and black bow ties, can be very Parisian in attitude, in a sometimes gruff, sometimes exuberant, yet always effective way. Open late every day, this restaurant,...
