Styrofoam tableware?: I used to love the bakery treats before the restaurant came under new management. I appreciated the fancy new paint job to spruce up the place, so I thought I would give the new owners a try. I opted to eat in to avoid wasteful takeout garbage. My efforts were in vain - my soup and sandwich were served to the table in styrofoam with plastic utensils. Won't go back.

Apalling: I recently went into the bakery on Valentines Day and bought a horrible cake that had no cake in it whatsoever. I was treated very badly by a young girl at the til(wearing a touque no less..eww) and because it's my favourite(was) bakery i decided to special order a different cake. I spoke to the Owner who proceeded to be condescending and snarky when i asked for white flowers on white icing (HOW DARE I !!) then i asked if they make peach and she was unbelievably rude and scoffed "No one makes peach.." but she jumped the gun and didnt understand i was asking for peach filling. When i picked up the cake, we stood at the front counter waiting and finally a grumpy older woman sauntered to the front to "help" us....to top it off, the cake is burned so bad that the bottom of it looks like it sat in a fire for about an hour..and burn is all you can taste...DONT GO THERE!! ITS GONE DOWNHILL!!!! I would give it a 0 star rating but you have to pick a star before submitting.........

needs an update: Looks a little scary as of late! It used to be my favourite bakery, but things have changed!

Pretty good but the owner needs 'finishing': The Ritz has branched out since it came under new management a half year ago. Its products are good - way better than Sugardaddy's - although I tend to find the sweets a little too sugary. The staff have been generally friendly but the male owner shoudl either take a course in customer friendliness or stay in the back. I have met him twice now when I was asking about particular products and got a pretty brusque "we don't make that" like he was too busy to say, "gee we could think about it" or otherwise. Both times I've felt like not bothering to come back. But their jelly doughnuts deserve forgiveness.
