Hmmm: Love it for lunch - not my first pic for dinner. The Sangria is to die for and they have wonderful pasta dishes plus the venue is super posh. Food quality isn't my favorite though

Ein.: For the reputation this place has it's really not that great. The Restaurant is gorgeous I'll give it that, and the Sangria is Amazing. But the menu is very limited and portions are super small. If you want to have a drink on the patio and people watch in Yorkville it's great but I wouldn't recommend it for dinner.

"See and be seen" at this "grande dame" of Bloor-Yorkville where "well-heeled" patrons tuck into contemporary Canadian-French fare while "viewing the beautiful people of Toronto" in an "elegantly" decorated dining room; "experienced" servers and a "popular" outdoor patio complete the pricey picture.

Emerged from the ashes after a fire in December 2006, Sassafraz has maintained its corner landmark status at the avenues of Cumberland and Bellair. Equivalent of LA's The Ivy, the rich, famous and wannabes remain to see and be seen, all within air kissing distance. Inside, the setting is more subdued and minimalist. A surefire mark during the film fest stalk hunt in September.
