sexually harassed me, were late, and knew nothing medical about anything: I showed up for an appt. @ 8:50am (for 9am), and was told the 'medical' consultant was on her way but was not there yet. Then 10+ minutes went by, and the poorly organized secretary once again said that the 'medical consultant' was on her way but stuck in traffic. Then I was told that maybe I should get a coffee. I came back at 9:30am (1/2 hr after they had scheduled me in), and there was no 'medical' consultant, just some ditzy blonde who knew nothing about any medical terms; I have vitiligo, alopecia and hypothyroidism and this twit knew nothing about any of them...so why do they call themselves a 'medical' clinic and keep boasting about that? I inquired about their medical staff, and was told that no one was available. So this bleach blonde bimbo consultant kept doing very inappropriate things; she told me I was very cute, that I looked 24 (I'm 33), she asked if I was married and when I said 'no' she said 'oh so you're single' and then said 'I'm single too and I find it hard to meet guys' then she gave me a flirtatious grin and batted her eyes..., as well when I was leaving she grabbed my hands and tried to hold them in hers (I said, "don't touch me!"). On top of all that...she knew nothing medically about the treatments and only kept saying that their packages are 8 treatments but that I might not need them (however I needed to pay thousands of dollars up front and I needed to pay for all 8 regardless of if I used them or not). Her sales skills reminded me of a snake skin sales man and I was very annoyed as I came to this 'medical' clinic cause I thought they were staffed with doctors and nurses not some flakey bleach blonde over tanned person. So they sell sell sell and they don't care about the cost...I said, for just one small area of treatment, that $200+ per treatment was very expensive and she only continued to mention how they can arrange payment plans but if you pay up front, you get 2 free treatment sessions (car sales - sounds like...'buy now and I'll throw in an extra pair of hood warmers"). When I left it was 10:45am (1 hr and 45 minutes after my 'consultation' appt) why? why do they need to waste people's time and money like that? I do not understand why they are so fake and they should have the 'medical' term stripped from their business as that is extremely misleading. Be ware, be very wary of this company and it's tactics to try and swindle you out of thousands if not hundred of thousands of dollars (this dork of a lady also put into the computer $20, 000+ for a single stupid magnetic treatment), I do not think they have any qualified technicians on staff and I think this whole business is a hoax.

Beware!!: I am not surprised to read of the problems clients have experienced with Skin Vitality. It doesn’t seem to matter what treatment people get there it seems they are problematic or just don’t work. And as Dr. Phil says if you see one (rat) then there are 50 more that you don’t see (that are not complaining – just going away and not returning).

It is unfortunate as I thought women in the K-W area were getting a cosmetic clinic that would assist them cosmetically (without the knife) in the aging process or problematic areas in a top notch facility with highly experienced technicians and client service and this has not been the case.

At Skin vitality in Kitchener I have had Skin Tightening and Photo Facials treatments, including a peel, that really didn’t make much difference and if there was any improvement it was very temporary to say the least. I then tried Juvederm fillers and was really pleased with the injectionist and the results…very little filler and not long lasting. I was happy with that. Last June ( 2012) I attended for a filler treatment and it was a different injectionist and unfortunately (for me) it went wrong ( their words – “ gone wrong filler”) and I have since spent over a year applying ice and globing on eye cream to improve the area ( their recommendation at my time and expense)…one of Skin Vitality’s first class expert injectionists ( 15 years experience) filled the tender area under/ around the eye which resulted in large risen “welts” from the corner of the eye down into the cheek area on both sides of my face…also showed the needle marks…I returned to the clinic a couple of days later to show them the results and the same person told me to apply ice and massage the area. I have been applying ice in the mornings and evenings for over a year and the filler is starting to disintegrate with time but resulting damage has taken its toll on my face and my life. I have been dealing with their Patient Care Director during this period (over a year now) and have done everything in my power for the company to fix this (they can’t) or make amends. I have also had further fillers to make it look better temporarily to get me through this at my expense. I have travelled to Mississauga to see another of Skin Vitality’s experts who would not touch it (I respect that) and told me I was one of the lucky ones. After weeks of trying to fit in another appointment in Mississauga (I am in Kitchener and the treatment was carried out in Kitchener) I had been promised that a “top notch nurse”, just hired, would attend in my area to remove the filler (didn’t happen). Not sure I would trust or approve that measure given these injections have left a droopiness and wrinkles in the area where the filler is dissipating (which were not there before the treatment). Comments like “well you are aging, wait it out, will take a year etc. and after a request for a refund (which was denied) an offer of 20 units of Botox added insult to injury, this is the customer service and support I have had from Skin Vitality. I have been extremely tolerant and flexible (let’s face it, it has been a year) and willing to work with them to correct their serious error to no avail and have been left with a serious problem – on my face. For a company that advertises “unparallel experience and knowledge” in approximately nine locations (and I tried more than one location to remedy the situation) I would certainly not recommend this facility in any of their locations for any of their treatments.

Venus Freeze 'inch loss' treatment: If I would have seen some results, I would not be complaining. But they showed me absolutely no results and charged me thousands of dollars. So, I'm a pretty dissatisfied customer. Please learn from my story and save your money! Their policy is NO REFUNDS even though it does not mention this on your 'contract'.

The only reason why some people see inch loss during the treatment is because they tell you to start exercising, avoid overeating, eat only healthy foods and don't eat any unhealthy foods. So, if you are already doing all the right things and are fit like me, this treatment won't do a single thing for you because it is smoke and mirrors. They are banking on the fact that you are doing all the wrong things and will start doing all of the right things while on their treatment. You can start exercising and eating better on your own, don't waste thousands of dollars on their 'magical' tripolar RF 'treatment'.

I work in the medical industry, and I was surprised at how little the staff knew about basic human physiology of fat and muscle, digestion, circulation. I would secretly be quizzing the technicians (if you can even call them that) during my treatments, and every time I was amazed by their lack of knowledge. They didn't even know much about the machine they were using in the treatments. Check out a few of the training
videos for RF machines on youtube and you will learn more about the technology and usage than they have.

The woman who sold me the package reminded me of a used car salesman trying to sell me a lemon. Yep, 'nuff said about her.

The 'technicians' take your measurements every couple of treatments and take photos. They are sooo disorganized (or ridiculously incompetent) that they could not take 2 pictures from the same distance or angle. You cannot compare any two pictures to see if you are making progress, so you might as well take your own at home. For measurements, they could never figure out where the last one took the measurements from. Technician: 'Is that 26 inches off the ground or 28??? Should I be separating the measurements by 2 inch increments or 3??'. Yep. Apparently, this is their job, but they are not very good at it. Take your own measurements if you are going to do this.

At the end of my treatments, they agreed it did nothing for me, no affect whatsoever, but they were more than willing to SELL me some laser hair removal or I could BUY a treatment package for some skin treatments. Wow, really? Do you think I want to buy more of your treatments when you did not show me any results with the first 4K I spent? It's like I said ... Used car salesman. Thanks, but no thanks.

Save your money! Don't throw it away at 'Skin Vitality'!
